Getting to know the Tank Container Business: Former intern Sanne tells us about her internship at STC
During her studies at the Shipping and Transport College in Rotterdam, Sanne Pijnacker spent ten months with Stolt Tank Containers (STC) as an intern. A most inspiring experience, according to Sanne, that helped her gain valuable experience for her next step into harbor logistics.
Sanne studied Harbor Logistics at the Rotterdam College for Shipping and Transport (which also happens to be known as STC). This course prepares students for jobs as logistics managers at international shipping companies like STC.
Learning about any business works best by putting classroom gained skills into practice, something which STC does through its internship programme. During internships our students become valuable members of our team.

Motivating
“It didn't feel like an internship at all! It felt like a regular job from the moment I started.” Says Sanne. “The STC team involved me in all of their daily activities, including meetings and training, and even when we caught of over a drink after work. I found the whole experience at STC very motivating."
After completing her internship Sanne finished her studies with honors and stayed at STC for another year. Today she is working as an assistant freight forwarder with our colleagues, Logix Bulk Forwarding.
