Stolt Tank Containers wins prestigious supplier recognition award in South America

We are proud to announce that Stolt Tank Containers (STC) has received the 2024 Supplier Recognition Award in the International Logistics category for South America. Presented by Indorama, a global industry leader, this award celebrates outstanding performance, innovation, and contribution to a more sustainable and efficient supply chain.

This recognition goes beyond the award; it’s a powerful signal that we are on the right path in the Americas region. It's also a moment to reflect on what truly drives us forward: our people, our purpose, and our relentless pursuit of excellence.

A regional milestone with global implications

STC was selected from a pool of logistics providers across multiple transport modalities, not just tank containers. Being recognized in this cross-sector competition reaffirms what we've long believed: excellence is not about what you move, but how you move it.

Whether it's chemicals, food-grade liquids, or specialty products, our teams in Brazil, Colombia, and across the region work tirelessly to ensure every shipment reflects our core values - safety, reliability, and sustainability.

"The trophy came with a native Araçá Roxo tree from Brazil’s Atlantic Forest. We’ve planted it so we can watch it grow."

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who can I contact regarding my claim?

Your claim examiner will acknowledge receipt of your claim submission via email, including their contact details. For any questions or claim-related enquiries, your claim examiner is ready to assist.

How much time do I have to file a claim?

Written notification of your intent to claim is required at the time and place of delivery, or within three (3) calendar days thereafter if the damage is not apparent upon reasonable inspection. A substantiated claim, detailing final costs and providing full evidence, must be submitted within a practical and reasonable period, as determined by us. Claims will be time-barred one (1) year after the delivery of the goods, or the date the goods should have been delivered. Claims received outside of these timeframes may not be accepted.

What if the time bar for my claim is approaching and I need more time?

If a time bar is approaching, you must submit a written request to your claim examiner for an extension before the time bar expires. Include the requested extension period, the modified time-bar date, and the reason an extension is necessary. Your claim examiner will review your request and grant the extension if it is practical and reasonable; however, extensions are not guaranteed and should not be relied upon.

If my cargo is off-specification or contaminated, can I unload the tank container?

We may request sampling of the cargo for analysis by an independent laboratory. Samples must be taken before the cargo is unloaded from the tank container. It is recommended to verify with your claim examiner before unloading any cargo.

What is needed once final costs are known?

Once final costs are determined, submit your quantified claim notification to your claim examiner, including the final claimed costs and any additional evidence or documentation supporting your claim.

What if I filed a claim with my insurer?

Insurance claims must be completed with your insurer before quantifying your claim with STC, as any amounts recovered through insurance cannot be included in your claim to us. Deductibles under your insurance terms and coverage will not be reimbursable through STC. Filing an insurance claim does not replace the requirement to submit written notification of your intent to claim at the time and place of delivery, or within three (3) calendar days thereafter if damage is not apparent upon reasonable inspection. You must obtain claim statuses directly from your insurer. Settlement agreements between you and your insurer do not bind STC in any way.

What if my insurer is claiming on my behalf?

Insurers may file a claim on your behalf, often after settling your claim with them. Insurers must follow our claims process and submit their claim to STC for review.
